Wingecarribee Shire Council has been advised by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment that the Electronic Housing Code (EHC) website has been decommissioned.

Applications submitted through the EHC prior to 23 June 2017 will continue to be determined.

Council’s Group Manager Planning, Development and Regulatory Services, Nicholas Wilton explained that the EHC website previously allowed users to investigate planning permission guidelines and lodge complying development applications.

“With the upcoming release of the Simplified Housing Code in mid-July, information currently being provided through the EHC would be inaccurate,” Mr Wilton said.

“The Department is subsequently preparing to roll out new state-wide lodgement services that will expand upon the functionality of the former EHC.

“This new service will standardise the application process across NSW.”

Users can download and save investigation reports or application information from the EHC dashboard prior to 9pm on 14 July 2017.

On 15 July determined application data will be transferred to the new Planning Portal.
