Wingecarribee Shire Council is asking residents to provide feedback on its Draft Councillor and Staff Interaction Policy now on public exhibition.

“The purpose of this draft policy is to establish positive, effective and professional working relationships between councillors and staff,” said Council’s Interim Deputy General Manager Ms Marissa Racomelara.

“It provides a framework for councillors in exercising their civic duties by specifically addressing their ability to interact and receive advice from authorised staff.”

The draft policy is in line with the NSW Office of Local Government requirements and consistent with the Local Government Act 1993.
