Who knew enjoying your coffee could make a life changing difference to someone in your community? Now that CoffeeChange has come to Wingecarribee, we’re excited to partner with this great social enterprise on up-coming community events. Interchange Australia are opening-up employment pathways for locals with a disability through this mobile coffee van. Thanks to training by our Shire’s best baristas, the coffee is seriously good!

We share in Interchange Australia’s commitment to ensuring that community members who live with a disability have equal access to the opportunities they need to thrive in their lives. Having meaningful and rewarding employment and a sense of feeling connected to our community are important for happiness and wellbeing, and the CoffeeChange van opens doors to valuable training, work experience and pathways to open employment.

All while satisfying the wider community’s craving for quality coffee!

“CoffeeChange is part of our supported education and employment program called Steps to Success which provides participants with valuable on-the-job work experience out in the community while gaining the qualifications and training they need through TAFE,” says Shayleen (Shay) Brydon of Interchange Australia. “Taking pride in making great coffee with our CoffeeChange van is a chance to build the confidence and practical experience needed to transition well to open employment.”

CoffeeChange collaborates with local businesses to provide on-the-job training by some of our best local baristas. “The joy our wonderful CoffeeChange crew experience when they are complimented on the coffee they’ve pulled and the friendly and professional service they’ve provided is really something special for us to share in,” Shay says. “The lightbulb goes on that they’re capable of more than they imagined and that there are exciting possibilities for their future in the community.”

Share in the journey by grabbing a cup of coffee from the CoffeeChange mobile coffee van when it pops-up. Expect to see them at many of our community events and celebrations to come!
