Wingecarribee Shire Council is set to celebrate NSW Small Business Month with two free workshops for business owners in the Southern Highlands.

Council’s Economic Development Coordinator, Jan Campbell, said Council is proud to be supporting NSW Small Business Month, which runs from 1 to 31 October.

“Small businesses play an important role in our community by offering a range of goods and services, creating jobs and driving economic growth,” she said.

“To support operators, Council is working with local industry experts to host two free interactive workshops in Bowral.”

The Future Proof my Southern Highlands Business workshop on Tuesday 15 October will focus on future proofing small to medium-sized businesses.

The Retail Therapy for Retailers workshop on Wednesday 16 October will demonstrate how collaborative retail opportunities can benefit our local economy.

Both two-hour workshops will commence at 5.30pm in Bowral’s Henrietta Rose Room with refreshments being served from 5pm.

These workshops are free to attend however, bookings are essential. For more information visit Council’s website at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/events.

“I encourage all small to medium-sized business owners to join us and network with other like-minded operators,” added Ms Campbell.
