Celebrate sustainable living with house tours and webinars!
Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Sustainability team have partnered with the not-for-profit organisation Renew, on Sustainable House Day for 2024. A host of initiatives are on offer throughout April and May, for those keen to find out how to live a more environmentally conscious life.
Sustainable House Day on 21 April 2034
Mark your calendars for Sustainable House Day on 21 April 2024, a nationwide event showcasing sustainable homes and eco-friendly living practices. This annual event offers our community the opportunity to explore innovative homes that are open to the public for a small fee. These homes prioritize sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship. Open home bookings are online and managed by Renew. See details below.
This year’s Sustainable House Day promises to be an informative and inspiring experience for all attendees. From passive solar design to renewable energy solutions, participants will have the chance to learn about innovative technologies and design principles that contribute to a greener future.
Sustainable Building Webinars run by Renew 30 April – 23 May 2024
Our community will also have access to educational webinars from 30 April to 23 May 2024, we have 10 FREE passes to offer our residents (link below for further details), on a first come first serve basis, after this each session will cost $5 – $12 each.
The webinars cover everything from glazing, to building permits, choosing the right materials and the electrification journey in the home. These webinars aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to make sustainable choices in their own homes.
