Following from last month’s inaugural Economic Summit, Wingecarribee Shire Council is inviting interested parties to a follow-up meeting to progress the Summit’s priority projects.

Council’s Economic Development Manager Noel Ferguson explained the idea behind the follow-up workshop.

“Last month we had over 100 people turn up for the Economic Summit at Chevalier College,” he said. “Here they shared with us their ideas and suggestions on how we can develop and promote a range of industries across our Shire,” he said.

“We’re now at the next stage of the project where we want to further develop the key ideas which have been deemed as the most achievable and sustainable.

“To do this we want to invite back the key participants and discuss the next steps we need to undertake to progress these projects,” Mr Ferguson said.

“Just some of the issues we’ll be discussing include how to best pitch the ideas to potential customers and how to seek private or government funding.”

The Economic Summit Project Planning meeting will be held in the Bradman Hall within the Bradman Museum and International Cricket Hall of Fame, St Jude Street, Bowral from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday 14 July 2015.

The event will be hosted by Council’s Economic Development and Tourism Committee and chaired by Councillor Ian Scandrett.
