At the touch of a button and the swipe of a screen, keeping the family entertained has just become a whole lot easier with Wingecarribee Shire Council’s new Fun Finder app.

The Fun Finder app is designed to provide children, young people and their families with a diverse range of fun things to do in and around the Southern Highlands.

Council’s Coordinator Community Development, Cath Brennan, said the app would help connect our community with an array of low-cost family-friendly events and activities all from the one place.

“When faced with the prospect of bored children, parents can feel overwhelmed,” she said. “This app has been designed to help parents banish the broken-record blues.”

Council’s Fun Finder app will provide information in a streamlined and user-friendly way, using mobile capabilities such as location services, family sharing and notifications.

“We’re encouraging the community to list their events, activities or a favourite place so that others can enjoy what the Southern Highlands has to offer,” added Ms Brennan.

The app was developed in partnership with Highlands Child, Youth and Family Network and made possible through grant funding via ClubGRANTS and Council.

Developed by Creatio the free Fun Finder app is available for Apple devices through the App Store and Android devices through the Google Play Store.
