Thomas-Andrew Baxter welcomes participants to the 2016 expo

Wingecarribee Shire Council is set to host the annual Wingecarribee Community Services Expo on Thursday 11 October from 10 am until 1 pm at Bowral Memorial Hall.

Council’s Coordinator Community Development, Cath Brennan, explained that the Expo provides a unique opportunity for residents to discover the wide range of services and groups that contribute to our Shire.

“Over 60 exhibitors will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the variety of services available to our community,” she said.

Featured services include housing, health, volunteering, legal, disability, aged care, transport, mental health and education.

Coinciding with the Expo is Mental Health Month and to celebrate, a range of family-friendly activities focusing on health and wellbeing will take place next door in the Henrietta Rose Room.

“The Five Ways to Wellbeing seminar will focus on feeling good and functioning well,” said Cath. “Bring the family along and discover simple tips and tricks to help you live each day well.”

The 2018 Wingecarribee Community Services Expo and Five Ways to Wellbeing seminar are both free to attend and are proudly supported by Council and The Disability Trust, New Horizons, Five Ways to Wellbeing, Argyle, Anglicare, Get Around It, Red Cross, Wingecarribee Adults Day Centres and Mable.

Bowral Memorial Hall is located at 24 Bendooley Street in Bowral.
