With 2016 flying by it’s almost time for another group of enthusiastic year 12 students to hit the books in preparation for their Higher School Certificates (HSC).

Wingecarribee Public Libraries will host a free talk on Monday, 4 July on the English Area of Study – Discovery.

The talk will be presented by Larry Grumley, a veteran HSC exam marker, study guide author and Head of English at Catherine McAuley College in Westmead.

“Larry brings over 25 years of experience in teaching both in Australia and overseas,” said Trudy Eccleston, Children’s and Youth Services Librarian.  “He has a remarkable ability to explain things clearly and effectively.”

Helping students prepare for their exams, the talk will focus on the ways in which discovery is represented in texts and exam requirements.

The free session will run from 2.00pm – 3.30pm on Monday, 4 July in the Henrietta Rose Room next to Bowral Library on Bendooley Street, Bowral.

Bookings are essential and can be made at www.hscseminardiscovery.eventbrite.com.au.
