6 February, 2013

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its annual bitumen re-sealing program, road works are scheduled to commence on a number of streets in Hill Top commencing Thursday 7 February 2013.

Starting Thursday 7 February, Council’s road maintenance crews – in conjunction with Council contractors – will be undertaking bitumen spraying operations across 14 streets in the village.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.

Motorists are cautioned to observe the changed traffic conditions, slow down and exercise care when travelling through the work zones.

During the works motorists may experience short delays.

Roads affected include Wilson Drive (through the village area), Old Wilson Drive, Banksia, Cumberteen, Dora, Ella, Foreman, Harold, Pearce, Pirillie, Rosina, Sackville, Stella and Wyong Streets.

On street parking will not be permitted during bitumen spraying operations.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by Friday 8 February 2013.
