Scheduled roadworks for Railway Avenue Bundanoon
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its ongoing road maintenance program, road works are scheduled to commence onRailway Avenue in Bundanoon starting Monday 6 February 2012.
The repair works will be undertaken between Rosenthal Avenue and Brigadoon Drive.
Works will involve excavating blocked drains, clearing excess vegetation in and around the table drains and road shoulders followed by excavation of the existing road surface, road widening, laying a new surface base and bitumen re-sealing.
Spoil generated by the work will be subsequently recycled and used to re-sheet nearby Ferndale Road.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.
During the works motorists may experience short delays and are encouraged to use the Erith Street detour where possible.
Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
Weather permitting, the works should be completed by the end of March.
