Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that the draft amendments to the Water Supply and Sewerage Development Servicing Charges (DSP) will be placed on public exhibition from Wednesday 17 January 2018.

The amendments detail the proposed three month moratorium on the payment of Water Supply and Sewerage Development Servicing Charges applicable to rates levied against development consents determined before 15 September 2017.

The decision follows the passing of a proposed amendment by a majority of Councillors at its Ordinary Meeting of 13 December 2017.

The amendment would allow those consent holders who have been requested to pay a Water Supply and Sewerage Development Servicing Charge to pay these charges using the old rates for a restricted period of time.

This decision only applies to those development consents approved prior to 15 September 2017.

The draft amendment to the Water Supply and Sewerage Development Servicing Charges will be placed on public exhibition for a period of 30 days until 15 February 2018.

Submissions can be made in writing addressed to the General Manager, Wingecarribee Shire Council, PO Box 141 Moss Vale 2577 or alternatively by email at mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au and should be marked ‘Submission to DSP Amendment Exhibition’.

Submissions and feedback close at 4.30pm on Thursday 15 February 2018.

Following the close of the exhibition period, all responses will be collated and included in a final report to be presented to Council.
