Works commence on Bong Bong shared pathway
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that work on the pathway connecting Phillip Street in Burradoo to the existing Bong Bong Shared Pathway is set to commence Monday 2 November 2015.
The project will involve constructing a 1.2 metre wide pathway made of both concrete and decomposed granite for approximately 500 metres linking Phillip Street to the Bong Bong Shared Pathway.
Two temporary stockpiles, including a site shed, will be erected on both Phillip Street and at the Railway Road end of the existing Bong Bong Shared Pathway.
During construction the pathway will remain open but users are cautioned to be aware that heavy machinery will be present at both stockpile sites and infrequently along the pathway.
Whilst the speed of any machinery will be limited, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to exercise care.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose material, machinery and workers in the area.
Works will commence Monday 2 November and weather permitting are expected to be completed by Christmas.
The Phillip Street pathway link is funded by Council’s Capital Works Budget.
Council thanks the residents for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
