Wattle Lane construction activities

4 May, 2020

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that the Wattle Lane Car Park extension works are scheduled to commence from Monday 11 May 2020.

Works will be carried out between Wattle Lane and Argyle Lane in Bowral and include the construction of new stormwater drainage, sealed car park extension pavement and road pavement, footpath construction and kerb and guttering.

These works follow demolition activities undertaken onsite in late 2019.

The construction works will be completed in two stages to minimise disruption and inconvenience.

  • Stage 1 – stormwater drainage pipe and pits
  • Stage 2 – car park extension plus Argyle Lane road improvements

Stage 1 works are scheduled to commence on 11 May 2020 and Stage 2 works shortly thereafter.

Construction activities will be carried out between 7.00am and 6.00pm weekdays.

During construction, sections of the road may be closed or temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.  Access to properties on Wattle Lane and Argyle Lane, including the existing car park, will be maintained throughout the construction.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks business owners and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Works are expected to be completed by mid-July 2020.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
