Wingecarribee Shire Council wants to inform residents and visitors of upcoming footpath work at 273-293 Bong Bong Street, commonly known as the ‘Fire Site,’ with temporary fencing and banner work to commence on Monday 12 February.
The work to be done will see the re-installation of fenced Council boarding banners to cover up the vacant land, which remains after a fire destroyed the building on the site.
It’s part of Council’s commitment to ensure Bowral remains an attractive and safe destination. The temporary fencing and banners being installed are in line with the previous hoarding.
These measures will remain in place while development plans for the site are reviewed.
Residents are urged to please take extra care when travelling through the area on Monday 12th February, as the work commences. Pedestrian management will be on site on the day.
Traffic movement in and around Bong Bong Street should not be impacted.
Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.
