Throsby Street reconstruction works and detours
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that a heavy vehicle detour will be implemented along sections of Throsby Street in Moss Vale from Monday 31 May 2021.
The detour is necessary to enable reconstruction activities to enter the next phase.
As of Monday 31 May heavy vehicles will be required to use the Spencer Street and Arthur Street detours to access Throsby Street.
The detours will enable water and sewer main renewal works and road reconstruction activities to continue along a 560-metre section of Throsby Street between Spring Street and Yarrawa Road.
During construction, sections of Throsby Street may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic however the road will remain open to light vehicles including school buses, emergency vehicles and waste collection services.
Property access will also be maintained for residential users.
Signage will be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic during work hours.
Construction activities will be carried out between 7 am and 5 pm weekdays.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
Works are expected to be completed by the end of August 2021. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
