Temporary closure of Wingecarribee St and Lamond Lane, Bowral
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that Wingecarribee Street and Lamond Lane in Bowral will be closed to general traffic between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm from Monday 2 February until Thursday 19 February 2015 to allow for the construction of new sewer mains.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow for the safe excavation and construction of 60 metres of new sewer mains.
The closure will only be in effect during weekdays with the streets to be re-opened on weekends.
Traffic Controllers will be on site for the duration of the closure directing traffic around the work areas.
Whilst general traffic will be restricted, limited access will be made available for immediate residents, businesses and courier transport vehicles.
Pedestrian access will not be affected.
Motorists and pedestrians travelling in the vicinity are reminded to exercise care when traveling through the work zone and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the area.
Further sewer main construction works will be carried out in the vicinity of the Telstra building in Merrigang Street from late February 2015.
