Temporary closure of Throsby and Spring Streets, Moss Vale

12 May, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that roundabout construction works are scheduled to commence at the intersection of Spring and Throsby Streets in Moss Vale from Monday 15 May 2017.

In addition to the current Spring Street railway underpass closure, Throsby Street will also be closed between Arthur and Chapman Streets.

Through traffic will be limited to local residents and trucks that have businesses on Throsby Street and Yarrawa Road. Other road users must follow detour signage via Arthur and Spencer Streets.

Works include extensive pavement reconstruction, piped drainage, power pole relocation, new kerb and guttering, concrete islands and footpath construction.

The project is designed to reduce crashes at the Spring and Throsby Street intersection and is funded by the Australian Government Black Spot Programme.

Council apologises for any inconvenience or delays that may be experienced on sections of Argyle Street during construction.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and patience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-June 2017. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
