Temporary closure of Oxley Street, Berrima

8 September, 2015

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that the entrance to Oxley Street, east of the Old Hume Highway in Berrima, will be closed from Saturday 19 September to Saturday 3 October 2015.

The temporary closure is to allow Council’s maintenance crews to undertake urgent works to replace a collapsed stormwater pipe.

The repairs are being undertaken during the school holidays to minimise disruption to the adjacent Berrima Public School.

Detours will be in pace for both vehicles and pedestrians via Schotts Lane.

Weather permitting the road may be partially re-opened on Sunday 27 September only to allow vehicular access to the School Fete.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose gravel and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Garbage collections will be unaffected during the temporary closure.

Council thanks the residents for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
