Temporary closure of Box Vale Walking Track
Wingecarribee Shire Council advises that the Main Box Vale Walking Track at Woodlands has been closed until further notice.
The temporary closure is a result of damage caused by recent wet weather.
The closure affects the Main Box Vale Track and historic railway tunnel located west of the Hume Motorway near Welby.
The nearby Forty Foot Falls and Box Vale Fire Trail remain open.
Council urges bushwalkers to reconsider travel plans during, or immediately following, heavy rainfall.
The Main Box Vale Track will be re-opened once an assessment is completed and repairs undertaken.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
