Sullivan Road drainage works, Burradoo

7 January, 2014

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its regular maintenance program, drainage works are scheduled to commence at the intersection of Sullivan Road and Hudson Street in Burradoo starting Monday 13 January 2014.

Work will include pipe laying, construction of drainage pits and road shoulder widening and sealing.

As construction crews begin laying pipes, the section of Sullivan Road between Holly Road and Railway Parade will be closed to traffic for approximately two weeks. Local residential traffic only will be provided access through the job site.

Signage will be erected advising motorists of the works and advising of alternate routes.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by mid-February 2014.
