Station Street renewal works progress

3 November, 2022

Wingecarribee Shire Council is gearing up to deliver the next stage of improvement works along Station Street in Bowral, with traffic detours in place from Monday 7 November 2022.

The first stage of road preparation works will commence with concrete barriers being installed and traffic being reduced to one lane between Boolwey and Bong Bong Streets.

Parking restrictions will be in place for the duration of works. On-street parking is available on Kirkham Road and a public carpark is located on Wattle Street in Bowral.

Pedestrian and driveway access to properties along Station Street will be maintained.

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the construction zone and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work area.

Traffic controllers will be stationed onsite between 7 am and 6 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.

Weather permitting, full road pavement rehabilitation on the southbound lane is set to commence on 25 November 2022 and continue for approximately three weeks.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and urges motorists to follow all signage and traffic directions during construction.

This project is being delivered through the Station Street Renewal program of works.
