Roadworks at Yarrawa Road, Moss Vale

15 September, 2016

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road rehabilitation works are scheduled to commence on Yarrawa Road, Moss Vale from Monday 3 October 2016.

The project involves heavy patching of 450 metres of the existing road surface and applying a final two coat bitumen seal.  This will be undertaken in an area approximately one kilometre from the intersection of Mount Broughton and Yarrawa Roads.

The work is being undertaken to remove inconsistencies in the current road’s surface and improve traffic safety.

During construction the section of affected road will be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.

Traffic controllers will be on duty for the duration of the works however motorists may experience minor delays.  Existing bus schedules will be unaffected.

Affected property owners have been notified of the works and restricted access will be made available to these residents.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late October 2016.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
