Roadwork in Boolwey Street, Bowral

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its ongoing road maintenance program, road works are scheduled to commence in Boolwey Street, Bowral starting Monday 15 August 2011.

The repair works will be undertaken on the road surface between Bendooley and St Jude Streets, Bowral.

Works will involve removing the existing road surface, relaying and resealing the road.

Weather permitting, the work should be completed by the end of August 2011.

Changed Traffic Conditions:

Boolwey Street will be closed to traffic in stages during the construction times.

Speed restrictions and detours shall remain in place until all works are completed. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes where possible.

Parking restrictions will also apply in the immediate vicinity of the works as may temporary access to private driveways. All affected residents will subsequently be notified by Council.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones, traffic barriers and heavy machinery within the work areas.

During the works motorists may experience short delays.

Council asks the public to exercise patience during this period and will make every effort to minimise disruptions.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
