Roadwork at Waite Street, Moss Vale

23 December, 2015

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as a part of its scheduled Works Program, road works are tentatively scheduled to commence in Waite Street, Moss Vale from Argyle Street to Whites Creek Bridge, from Wednesday 18 January 2016.

Due to the extensive nature of the works, construction will be undertaken in stages.

These works will include construction of new stormwater drainage, repair of existing kerb and guttering and rehabilitation of the existing pavement. The drainage works will be undertaken first followed by the kerb and guttering, pavement rehabilitation and asphalting works.

While the road will remain open to traffic, delays may be unavoidable at certain stages of construction. Where possible motorists are advised to avoid the work area.

Signage will be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed onsite to manage traffic during the works.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Road users and pedestrians are advised to adhere to the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Weather permitting the road reconstruction works are scheduled to be completed by mid-April 2016.
