Road works – Sheffield Road, Bowral
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road reconstruction works are scheduled to commence on Sheffield Road, Bowral from Monday 16 April 2018.
The works will take place at the intersections of Warenda and Ascot Streets during the school holidays and are expected to be completed by Friday 27 April 2018.
The reconstruction works will include a full road rehabilitation, lime stabilisation and an asphalt seal.
During construction works Sheffield Road will be closed to through traffic with access made available to immediate residents only.
Access to both Warenda and Ascot Streets via Sheffield Road will subsequently be unavailable during the construction.
Access to the Bowral and District Hospital will remain open.
Detours will be setup for the duration of the works and signage will also be erected. Motorists are however encouraged to avoid the area where possible.
Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
