Reconstruction of Berrima Road, Berrima

9 March, 2015

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that temporary delays are expected along Berrima Road, in particular from the bend north of the Douglas Road intersection, commencing Tuesday 10 March as Council reconstructs a length of the road.

Weather permitting, works will commence on Tuesday 10 March and are expected to be complete by the first week of April 2015 in time for the Easter break.

Work will involve widening the outside of the bend and laying new asphalt over approximately 300 metres of the road.

During construction temporary traffic signals will be erected reducing traffic to one-way movement only.

Works will be carried out by Council’s road construction crews in conjunction with specialist asphalt laying contractors.

Motorists travelling in the vicinity are reminded to observe the speed restrictions and exercise care when traveling through the work zone and also be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery.

Council apologises for any inconvenience.
