Planned water disruption: Centennial Road, Bowral
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that maintenance on the water system at Centennial Road in Bowral is scheduled to take place on the evenings of Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 November.
The planned shutdown is to allow Council contractors to undertake essential maintenance and testing of the water main which feeds approximately 400 properties around the Centennial Road area.
Works will be undertaken between 10pm and 5am on both evenings.
Some customers may experience temporary loss of water or low pressure during these hours.
All households have been individually notified of the scheduled outage.
Council advises affected customers not to use any water appliances during the planned shutdown and to keep taps closed.
Once reconnected, customers are advised to slowly open a cold water tap to allow any trapped air to escape.
It is normal for water to be discoloured following a major shutdown and if so, customers are advised to run the cold water tap for a few moments until the discolouration dissipates.
Council apologises for the temporary disruption and inconvenience.
