Pathway and Road Inspections

30 July, 2019

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that a Shire-wide street audit that commenced in early-June continues into the next stage of the project.

Contractors from Talis Consultants Pty Ltd began inspections this week on pathways and unsealed and unmaintained roads across the Shire.

These inspections are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions.

Camera-mounted vehicles will be travelling at normal speeds while completing an assessment and video recordings of over 500 kilometres of unsealed and unmaintained roads.

Assessment of ancillary assets will be completed by contractors travelling on foot and bicycle.

Video recordings will focus on pathway and road assets only and vehicles used will be clearly marked and carry high visibility signage and lighting. Contractors will carry identification with them at all times.

Council thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
