Moss Vale water and sewer main renewal works

24 December, 2020

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that water and sewer main renewal works will commence on Throsby Street in Moss Vale in mid-January 2021.

The works are scheduled to take place over an 800-metre section of Throsby Street between Spring and Spencer Streets.

Works will involve the construction of new water and sewer mains.  The road pavement and stormwater drainage will also be re-constructed following the installation of the new water and sewer mains.

The majority of the works will be undertaken in the road reserve which will result in the road being temporarily reduced to one-way traffic when necessary.  The road will however remain open during construction and access for immediate property owners maintained.

Hours of construction will be 7.00am to 5.00pm weekdays with traffic management arrangements in place during construction hours.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic arrangements, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery in the area.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of April 2021.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.

Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
