Footpath works on Banyette Street, Bowral

27 March, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that footpath construction works will be carried out on Banyette Street in Bowral from Monday 27 March 2017.

The work will involve removing the existing ramps and constructing a new concrete footpath and pram ramps at the roundabout intersection with Bong Bong Street (adjacent to Zaffero Illumination and The Acre/Dirty Janes).

During construction, sections of the road in the immediate vicinity of the works may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.  The road will however remain open to residents and through traffic.

The immediate area surrounding the footpath construction will also be temporarily closed to pedestrians.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late May 2017.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
