Footpath works for Merrigang Street, Bowral

3 April, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that footpath construction works will be carried out on Merrigang Street in Bowral from Wednesday 19 April 2017.

Located between Myrtle and Isabel Streets, the work will involve constructing a new concrete footpath and pram ramp.

During construction, sections of the road in the immediate vicinity of the works may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.  The road will however remain open to residents and through traffic.

The immediate area surrounding the footpath construction will also be temporarily closed to pedestrians.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for their cooperation and apologise for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late May 2017.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
