Economic Development Manager position on hold
Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Deputy General Manager, Corporate and Strategy, Ann Prendergast has today announced a delay to the appointment to the vacant position of Manager Economic Development within Council’s Corporate and Strategy Division.
“It is with much regret that we were informed this week that our preferred candidate, Bill Birch from Narrabri Council, is no longer able to take up the position,” she said. “Bill has cited personal circumstances as his inability to start in the role and we wish him well for the future.”
“We will now reassess the role of the Economic Development Manager within our organisation and look at a number of options before making a decision.
“In the interim, the functions of the position will continue to be handled by our Acting Group Manager Tourism, Economic Development and Events and myself,” Ms Prendergast said.
