Cycleway construction works at Illawarra Highway, Robertson

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that work is to begin on stage three of the Robertson Shared Cycleway pathway affecting the southern side of the Illawarra Highway starting Monday 28 May 2012.

The work will also involve the construction of kerb and guttering, footpaths and widening and asphalting of some existing road surfaces.

Affected roads will include:

  • Hoddle Lane and Main Street, Robertson
  • southern side of the Illawarra Highway, between Main Street and Hoddle Lane
  • approximately 70 metres of the Illawarra Highway, west of Main Street.

Changed Traffic Conditions:

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.
