Changed Traffic Conditions Wombeyan Caves Road – Widening Project
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its ongoing road safety improvement program, widening and rehabilitation works will commence Monday 6 June 2011 on Wombeyan Caves Road.
The work will take place on a 1.7 kilometre section of road between Springhill Road and Soapy Flats Road.
Works will involve widening the road by one metre on each side, constructing a gravel overlay, installing subsoil drainage and heavy patching work.
Works will be conducted under traffic, and subsequently, motorists may experience short delays. An enforceable 40km/h work site speed limit will be in place for the duration of the work.
Road users are advised to exercise care and be aware of heavy machinery within the area.
Council asks the public to exercise patience during this period and will make every effort to minimise disruptions.
Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
Weather permitting, the $400,000 Wombeyan Caves Road widening project is due to be completed by late July 2011.
