Changed traffic conditions – various streets

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its annual bitumen re-sealing program, road works are scheduled to commence on a number of streets in the Robertson, New Berrima, Burradoo, Burrawang and Woodlands areas commencing Thursday 27 February 2014.

Starting Thursday 27 February, Council’s contractors will be undertaking bitumen spraying operations across various roads within the Shire.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.

Motorists are cautioned to observe the changed traffic conditions, slow down and exercise care when travelling through the work zones.

During the works motorists may experience short delays.

Roads affected include:

  • High Street and Hindmarsh Lane, Robertson,
  • Argyle Street and neighbouring roads, New Berrima,
  • Railway Road, Yean Street and neighbouring roads, Burradoo,
  • Barrett Street and neighbouring roads, Burrawang,
  • Western end Woodlands Road, Woodlands.

On street parking will not be permitted during bitumen spraying operations.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by Friday 7 March 2014.
