Changed traffic conditions: Old Hume Highway, Berrima

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road works are scheduled to commence on the Old Hume Highway in Berrima from Monday 2 December 2019.

Works will include widening of the road shoulder, reconstruction of the road pavement and replacement of guardrail terminals to improve the safety of motorists.  New safety signage, line-marking and raised pavement markers will also be installed.

These works will be carried out on a 400 metre section of the Old Hume Highway starting from the entry ramp towards the Taylor Avenue roundabout at Berrima.

Construction activities will be carried out between 7.00am and 6.00pm weekdays.

During construction sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic however the road will remain open to through traffic.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Works are expected to be completed by 20 December 2019.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
