Bus Shelter works, Bendooley Street, Welby

3 March, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that a new bus shelter will be installed at the existing Welby bus stop on the Old Hume Highway, Welby.

Located just off the intersection of the Old Hume Highway and Bendooley Street in Welby, works will involve the construction of road pavement widening, kerb and guttering, excavation and forming of a concrete slab, erection of a new bus bay and pruning of immediate shrubbery.

Works are scheduled to start in late March.

During construction, sections of the road in the immediate vicinity of the works may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.  The road will however remain open to residents and through traffic.

Adjacent residents may also be asked to avoid parking in the immediate on-street work zone.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late May 2017.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
