Argyle Street sewer works

4 June, 2019

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that sewer main replacement works are scheduled to commence on Argyle Street in Moss Vale from Thursday 6 June 2019.

Works will involve replacing the existing concrete sewer main pipe, located between Valetta Street and 192 Argyle Street, with a high-density polyethylene pipe.

Hours of construction will be 7 am to 6 pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

During these construction hours, the parking lane on the southern side of Argyle Street will be temporarily closed. Some sections of the adjacent pathway may also be restricted however pedestrian access will be made available around the work areas.

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the construction zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Works will be undertaken by specialist contractor Carve Earthworks.

Signage will also be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic during work hours.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by early July 2019.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
