Acacia Park playground temporarily closed for repairs

27 January, 2012

Wingecarribee Shire Council will temporarily close the children’s playground at Acacia Park in Moss Vale to allow for playground upgrades.

The closure and subsequent repair work of the playground located on Merrett Drive in Moss Vale will commence Monday 30 January. Weather permitting the playground will re-open late February.

“The refurbishments are part of Council’s regular asset maintenance program,” said Council’s Parks and Open Spaces Coordinator, Greg Bray.

“Whilst we regret having to close the playground for a few weeks, safety is of paramount importance and the repairs are necessary to ensure the playground remains safe for all of the park’s users.”

The refurbishments will be undertaken by Council’s specialist play equipment contractor, A-Play.

“Council apologises for any inconvenience and will make sure the playground is back in action as soon as possible.”
