study lock-in

With just a few months to go until this year’s enthusiastic group of year 12 students hit the books in preparation for their final HSC exams, Bowral Library is hosting a free study seminar.

The event is the first in a range of HSC sessions that Wingecarribee Libraries facilitate to help local students improve their study skills and mentally prepare for their final year of high school.

The free seminar will focus on essay writing and HSC skills and will be held at the Henrietta Rose Room on Tuesday 15 April 2014 from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.

Places can be booked at www.bowrallibraryhscseminar.eventbrite.com.au.

The seminar will be presented by Mr Joe Awkar, an experienced teacher and tutor with extensive background in teaching HSC subjects and HSC marking, and will focus on improving writing skills. Students will learn to respond to essay style questions while developing their own style.

Wingecarribee Libraries support HSC students with a variety of study events each year, including a study lock in which will be held in the lead up to the final exams.
