No time to spare – an exhibition in The Atrium
Love our local heritage? Don’t miss this wonderful photographic exhibition in The Atrium at our Civic Centre, from 14 January to 24 February. Highlighting key heritage sites across the Southern Highlands at risk of being lost to future generations, No Time To Spare features over 25 beautifully curated images.

Chairman of the Highlands Branch of the National Trust, David Collingridge emphasised the critical importance of this body of work, “It drives awareness that we need to galvanise everyone into realising the significant threat we face to our local heritage so that steps can be taken to protect the rich history of our region.”
Principal Photographer, Richard Batterley, said, “We’ve continued in the style of Max Dupain’s powerful, No Time To Spare installation of black and white images, held in 1962, adding an accent of colour for dramatic effect, to make key aspects of some sites stand out.”
Bringing the exhibition to Moss Vale provides our Shire with an opportunity to not only appreciate the quality of photography being created here, but gain a clear impression for themselves, of the urgency of working together to protect the heritage we all cherish.
“This is what our Atrium is intended for,” says Wingecarribee Shire Council General Manager Lisa Miscamble. “Bringing things of interest to our local community, and bringing the community together on what really matters.” Filled with natural light, the Atrium is an ideal viewing space for creative installations, in a convenient and accessible location.
“The enthusiasm of the whole Council team who’ve made a significant contribution to making this happen, has added to the excitement we feel to share this work with the people of Wingecarribee Shire,” Richard said.
