 ,

Mittagong Pool will be the first public pool to open this weekend as Wingecarribee Shire Council prepares for the upcoming swimming season.

The pool officially opens on Saturday 13 October.

Operating hours are 6am to 9am and 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. Limited recreational swimming will be available on Monday and Tuesday nights from 5:15pm to 8:30pm when the facility will remain open for Water Polo and on Friday nights from 6.00pm for the Mittagong Swim Club’s weekly swim program.

On weekends and Public Holidays the pool will open at 10am and close at 6pm.

Should patronage fall below 20 people by 5pm and the weather is not conducive to swimming, the Pool Supervisors may close the pool an hour early at 5pm.

During the Christmas School Holidays Council will extend the swimming hours at the pool.

Bowral and Bundanoon Pools will open in November.

All Council pools are heated to 24 degrees.

The popular Whale Tail pool inflatable toy will also be back this season doing the rounds across all three pools with operating times to be advertised in advance.
