Mittagong Swimming Centre will be the first of Council’s public pools to open for the forthcoming swim season.

Refurbished at the start of the year following an extensive rebuild, Mittagong Swimming Pool will open for a total of 21 weeks starting Saturday 12 October 2019.

Bowral Swimming Centre will follow suit opening on Saturday 9 November and Bundanoon Swimming Centre will open from Saturday 16 November.

The Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre remains open year round.

Council’s Supervisor Pools and Facilities, Laura Hill, said Council’s Swimming Centres were the perfect place to enjoy the warmer months.

“All of our outdoor Swimming Centres have dedicated lap pools, toddler swim areas and wading pools,” she said.

“In the case of our Mittagong Swimming Centre we also have an accessible ramp, aqua wheel chair, covered splash pad and water toys.

“And best of all of our outdoor pools are heated to 24 degrees!”

Operating hours for the Mittagong Swimming Centre will be from 6am to 9am weekdays and again from 2pm to 6pm in the afternoon.  On Saturdays the pool will open at 8.30am and close at 6pm while on Sunday the gates will open from 9.30am and close at 6pm.

The Mittagong Swimming Centre is located on Hawkins Drive in Mittagong.
