Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Councillor Duncan Gair has today praised the members of the Friends of Bowral following this week’s public gathering to discuss Council’s proposed Station Street Upgrade Project.

“I was notified earlier this week that members of the group were organising a public gathering in Bowral to discuss their concerns about our Station Street Upgrade Project,” he said.

“I thank the members for the opportunity to address the group and explain why Council sees this multi-million infrastructure project as a priority for future traffic flow in and around the township of Bowral.

“And while we had a number of differences about the direction and scope of the project, I do appreciate their concerns and candour and thank them for the opportunity to speak.”

The gathering was also attended by a number of Wingecarribee Shire Councillors and candidates for the State Electorate of Wollondilly including One Nation candidate Charlie Fenton, Labor candidate Jo-Ann Davidson and Independent candidate Judith Hannan.
