Keen readers across the Shire can now access even more great books online with the introduction of Bolinda Digital’s BorrowBox at Council’s libraries.

Customers can browse and borrow the latest e-books and e-audiobooks and download them direct to their computer or mobile device – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Council’s Library Information Services Officer, Rebecca Finlaison, said the new service would allow readers immediate access to their favourite titles.

“BorrowBox allows our library patrons to download great stories on the go,” said Ms Finlaison.

“This service features the best of Australian and international authors with a wide variety of titles for readers of all ages and abilities.”

The BorrowBox app is free and available from the App Store and Google Play or from a link on the library website.

To start borrowing, select Wingecarribee Public Library within the app and enter the library membership details found on your membership card. Patrons can borrow up to eight items at a time for up to two weeks or longer if loans are renewed.

“BorrowBox is well known for its user friendly interface and it is very straight-forward to install,” said Ms Finlaison. “But if you need help, pop into your local branch with your device or phone us to arrange a one-on-one Tech Time session.”

Wingecarribee Public Library has branches in Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale, as well as the mobile library.

Library membership is free for Shire residents.
