Jobs Expo to hit Highlands

The seventh annual Wingecarribee Shire Council Jobs and Careers Expo is set to take place this Tuesday the 21 June at the Mittagong RSL.

Wingecarribee Shire Mayor, Councillor Ken Halstead said the expo would showcase the region’s career and employment options and provide information for prospective job seekers.

“The expo will feature local manufacturers, industry and mining representatives, finance and media experts, hospitality staff, Defence Force personnel and recruitment officers.

“There will be information on apprenticeships and traineeships and educational staff from regional universities will also be on hand with tips and advice on how to land your dream job,” said the Mayor.

Hosted by the Southern Highlands Manufacturing Cluster and supported by Wingecarribee Shire Council, the free expo will be held at the Mittagong RSL at Bessemer Street on Tuesday the 21 June from 10am to 4.30pm.

“If you’re a student looking at entering the workforce or perhaps you’re just looking for a career change, you really shouldn’t miss the 2011 Wingecarribee Shire Council Jobs and Careers Expo.”
