Highlands cooking experience serves up gold
Bowral-based food entrepreneur Stefano Marvello has put the Southern Highlands atop of every food lover’s must-visit list after snaring gold at this year’s NSW Tourism Awards.
Italian Cooking Experience with Stefano Marvello entered and won the coveted top spot in the New Tourism Business category after receiving business mentoring advice from Destination Sydney Surrounds South.
“It was a great exercise for the business and has helped us focus on the big picture and set goals,” he said.
Stefano said he was thrilled to win the award for his unique cooking business which has been operating for the last three years from Bowral.
“We really didn’t think we had a chance of placing,” he said. “We were delighted to win and are proud to fly the flag for the Southern Highlands and NSW at the upcoming National Tourism Awards.”

Stefano’s unique cooking experience offers intimate and inclusive in-home Italian cooking classes catering to all cooking skill levels.
The self-taught cook deliberately takes advantage of seasonal produce providing guests with a gastronomic tour of Italy as they cook and feast on regional Italian dishes.
Wingecarribee Shire Council congratulates Stefano and wishes him every success for the National Tourism Awards to be held in March 2023.
