Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to view the draft Wingecarribee River and Nattai Creek flood studies which went on exhibition on Tuesday 3 September 2013.

Both studies were prepared after Council called for local flood historical information.

The draft documents form part of Council’s Floodplain Risk Management Program which aims to reduce the impact of flooding on the community and help better prepare, predict and manage future flood events.

These studies look at a variety of different flood scenarios from five year reoccurring incidents to Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) events.
The draft reports for both studies can be viewed at Council’s Civic Centre at Moss Vale, Council’s libraries at Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong or online via www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/whats-on-public-exhibition.

Additional information on the Nattai Creek Flood Study is also available at www.nattai.floodstudy.com.au.

Submissions must be received by Council no later than 4pm on Monday 4 November 2013 and be made in writing to:
