Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking comment from residents after councillors endorsed the draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017-2021 for public consultation at last night’s Council Meeting.

Council’s Ageing and Disability Officer, Nicola Robson explained the purpose of the draft plan on public exhibition.

“Developed in consultation with the community, the plan represents Council’s commitment to people with disability and our actions for improving opportunity and accessibility,” she said.

“It outlines our plans over the course of the next four years, designed to remove barriers and make our Shire an even more inclusive destination and place to live for people with disability,” Ms Robson continued.

The four focus areas have been identified as attitudes and behaviours, liveable communities, employment and systems and processes.
